Incoming students who are first-timers to Florence may ask, “What’s life in Florence like?” or “How can I get involved while abroad?” Spring 2015 study abroad student Justin Barcomb provides the answers in a video project that chronicles a semester’s worth of experiences and student life in Florence, Italy. The aim of the project is to share with the student community the varying forms and opportunities for involvement when deciding to study in Italy.

Produced by Visual Communication students, the visual journey recounts a unique example of study abroad - as a Sports Management major from Southern New Hampshire University, Justin’s semester at FUA was based on curriculum integration, which allowed his coursework to not only count for his home institution degree but to feature unique experiential learning projects that involved in the Italian sporting industry and the local community.
