Looking to change your career pathway? FUA-AUF’s Certificate Career and 4-Year BA programs offer a flexible and feasible approach to targeted curriculum for gaining a professional edge in a diversity of fields.
CAREER CHANGE PROGRAMS
These programs can be taken in a variety of durations according to candidates’ ideal timeframes:
- Single 3-week sessions or 15-week semesters
- Fast track year for beginning level participants (prep courses plus two academic seasons)
- One year for those with requisites that satisfy the first year (two academic seasons)
- Two years for beginning level participants who wish to complete the full program
All of the above modalities feature predefined curricula grouped according to knowledge building supported by experiential learning for a deeper and more direct applicability of industry skills. Participants and faculty members engage in an academic community of learning and practice thanks to the CEMI (Community Engagement Member Institution) approach unique to FUA-AUF’s educational model – CEMI projects integrate learners within a community-oriented context.
Please note: US veterans may apply VA funding to the 2-year Associate of Arts program in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management (WEAMS search “Apicius Inter School of Hosp”).

BA/BLPS DUAL DEGREE PROGRAMS
BA/BLPS dual degree programs at FUA-AUF are four-year undergraduate pathways that offer a dual degree option to earn both a BA and a Fairfield UniversityBLPS (Bachelor’s in Liberal and Professional Studies) degree. In addition to program residency in Florence, candidates also can choose from a variety of residency formats:
- Fully remote: all coursework is taking on a remote-learning basis.
- Hybrid: coursework is taken as a combination of remote delivery and on-campus instruction.
- Low residency: coursework mostly takes place on a remote basis with some residential on-campus sessions.
- On campus: coursework taken in Florence with the exception of 18 credits taken on a remote basis.
