City walk: Lungarni - Objectives: To explore the importance of the Arno and the areas that surround the river. To deepen understanding of Florentine history through contemporary events, such as the great flood of 1966 and WWII. To investigate the history of the important structures that surround the Arno, such as the National Library, the tower homes, and the bridges that connect the two sides of the river
