Fall 2018 features a new Event Operations and Project Management course offered by the Apicius hospitality division. 

 

This course is designed to provide students with the exciting opportunity to plan, direct, and run special event operations. They will maintain financial records, manage events during economic downturns, and occupy managerial positions as professional event coordinators. 

 

 Experiential Learning will take place via planning, marketing, and executing high profile events, such as preparation for the FUA Academic Conference. Experiential learning at FUA aims to create a reciprocal exchange of culture, competency, and knowledge between students and the local Florentine Community. For every event, students will be on-site monitoring the event and ensuring a smooth and efficient program.

 

The students will also be responsible for planning and hosting Themed Dinners at Ganzo and FUA Corridoio exhibitions. Students may also assist in Ganzo operations and management, such as food safety and planning, guest service and relations, sales, HR, dining setup and service, menu planning, wine list development, and cellar management.

 

If you would like to attend a Themed Dinner at Ganzo School Restaurant, please consult the Ganzo website and make a reservation. 

These events are a fantastic opportunity for individuals to witness the academic involvement of students from this course.
